🔒 Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
Vexify is an independent, solo-developer project — not a large company. This policy is written plainly and honestly, same as our Terms of Service. If anything here is unclear, email us and we'll actually explain it.
2. What we collect, and why

We do not collect more than we need to run the product. We don't buy, sell, or rent your data to anyone, ever.
3. What happens to your gameplay footage
Your raw uploaded video is sent to our processing server (currently hosted on Railway), analyzed by our AI pipeline, and then automatically deleted once processing finishes — it is not kept, archived, or reused for any other purpose.
The short clips generated from your footage are temporarily stored so you can preview and download them, and are automatically cleaned up after a limited time. We are not currently a permanent video hosting service — download anything you want to keep.
To generate captions and pick highlight moments, individual video frames (not your full raw footage) are sent to Google's Gemini AI for analysis. This is a necessary part of how the product works, same as any AI-powered app.
4. Who we share data with
We use a small number of trusted third-party services to actually run Vexify. Each only receives what it needs to do its specific job:
- Supabase — authentication and our account database
- Railway — hosting for our backend and video processing
- Netlify — hosting for the website itself
- Stripe — payment processing (they handle your card details directly — we never see or store them)
- Google Gemini — AI analysis of video frames for highlight detection and captioning
- Resend — delivering account emails (confirmations, password resets)
We don't share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or anyone outside this list. None of these services are permitted to use your data for their own purposes beyond providing the service to us.
5. Cookies and local storage
Vexify uses your browser's local storage to keep you signed in and cache a few preferences (like your default game). We don't use advertising cookies or third-party tracking scripts.
6. Your rights and choices
Canceling a paid plan is self-serve, from Settings — this stops future billing and reverts you to Free at the end of your current period. It does not delete your account or your data; your history and profile stay intact.
Deleting your account entirely — including your profile, clip history, and all associated data — you can request at any time by emailing mail2vexifyclips.com@gmail.com. We'll handle it personally and promptly — we're a small team, so this isn't a bureaucratic process.
Note: the "Clear All Local Data" option in Settings only clears your browser's local cache, not your actual account — for full account deletion, email us directly.
7. Children's privacy
Vexify is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we'll delete it promptly.
8. Security
We use industry-standard practices to protect your data — encrypted connections (HTTPS) everywhere, database-level access controls, and secrets never stored in our codebase. That said, no system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute protection against every possible attack — same honest caveat any responsible service should give you.
9. Changes to this policy
Vexify is an early-stage product and this policy may be updated as things change. We'll do our best to flag meaningful changes rather than update this silently.
